TM Lighting recognised at the Lighting Design Awards 2013 for the TM Picture Light

SETTING THE ART WORLD ALIGHT

TM Lighting Highly Commended for Innovative Picture Light

New and forward-thinking company TM Lighting – specialists in manufacturing high colour rendition LED luminaries for the art and high-end retail market – were last night Highly Commended at the prestigious Lighting Design Awards 2013 for their TM Picture Light in the Interior Luminaire category.

Addressing the inefficiencies that come with dated technology and artwork degradation in historic houses and private residences, the TM Picture Light was specifically designed to vastly improve overall light distribution and quality. In doing so, TM Lighting takes picture lighting to a new dimension.

Founding directors, Andrew Molyneux and Harry Triggs launched TM Lighting last April, bringing together 20 years’ experience in the lighting and product design industry. The aim was to engage the latest and most sophisticated, energy-efficient LED technology, with a meticulous selection of LEDs, unrivalled colour rendition and light distribution. Additionally, they provide an exceptional service for the highest profile commissions – in both commercial galleries and private spaces.

TM Lighting’s expertise is already being lauded by the finest art collectors, such as James Kirkman, who commented that TM Lighting’s expertise is “a work of art in itself.” Now celebrating a year in business, with the Conrad Shawcross installation at The National Gallery’s Metamorphosis: Titian 2012 exhibition, among their first commissions, TM Lighting is growing exponentially, with an already stellar client list in private residences, stately homes, such as Weston Park and high-end retail, such as Selfridge’s Men’s Shoe Gallery.

On the Awards, Harry Triggs commented: “This has been an incredibly exciting year for us. We are thrilled to be recognised at the Lighting Design Awards, especially as we were up against such tough competition.” Andrew Molyneux added: “In our launch year, we focused on developing our TM Picture Light, which has performed exceptionally well. Our picture lighting technology has also given us a springboard into the high-end retail market where fashion pieces are presented as artworks in themselves. Of course, innovation will continue to be at the heart of what we do.”

TM Lighting provides a tailored service, which is available for both commercial and residential commissions in the UK and overseas.
