TM Gallery130 Spotlights, Bridget Riley at TM Gallery

As the year draws to a close, TM Gallery reflects on its journey, marked by diverse exhibitions, notably including a retrospective of Bridget Riley’s printed oeuvre. Riley is famed for her foundations in the Op Art movement producing optical illusions that challenge our perception and connect our feelings to what we see. In the Printed History exhibition, representing the colour accurately in Riley’s works is vital to perceive the line and form authentically. A typical lighting technique for contemporary art is to illuminate an entire wall evenly from floor to ceiling. TM Lighting overlaid a soft accentuation to each artwork to elevate the colour and vibrancy of Riley’s works. TM Gallery collaborated with Benjamin Parsons x Hannah Payne to bring the “Printed History” exhibition to light.

This year also saw the unveiling of never-before-seen works by the acclaimed artist and poet Robert Montgomery in a collaboration with MTArt Agency. The collaboration between TM Gallery and MTArt Agency brought Montgomery’s fusion of art and poetry to life, offering visitors an up-close encounter with his powerful political commentary.

The exhibitions at TM Gallery, intimate and technologically advanced, have attracted figures from across London’s diverse art scene. The gallery series will continue into the New Year, featuring collaborations with some of the UK’s leading galleries.

In 2024, TM Gallery aims to further its collaborations with MTArt Agency and establish a new partnership with Julian Page, specialising in modern and contemporary works. The gallery will showcase the sculptural works of James Rogers whose artistry mirrors TM’s founders’ appreciation for technological innovation.

TM Gallery is excited to announce its collaboration with Petroc Sesti, a prominent British artist whose work transcends conventional boundaries by blending art and science. Sesti’s art, rooted in a metaphysical exploration of existence and a deep connection to nature, promises an engaging and unique interaction for visitors.

“We are proud to work with artists of all backgrounds, from the newly emerging to the world-renowned. We seek to showcase artworks of all kinds in their best light, and at TM Gallery we have the means of doing so. The gallery series has proven a real success so far, and we are excited to announce the full 2024 roster of exhibitions in January”. Harry Triggs, co-founding director of TM Lighting.
