MOTHERHOOD | LUMINOUS ORIGINS

TM Gallery is pleased to announce a new solo exhibition by Dutch artist, Ella Bril presented by MTArt Agency.

This exhibition features nine evocative oil paintings that reflect on the meaning of motherhood and the quiet power of care, connection, and emotional presence during uncertain times.

Bril’s luminous, figurative works delve into the ways in which nurturing and closeness shape our lives – not through grand gestures, but in everyday acts of love and strength. The paintings celebrate the profound influence of those who hold others together: the mothers, caregivers, and loved ones whose emotional labour often goes unseen but deeply felt.

Colour is central to Bril’s practice, not just as a visual element but as an emotional language. She enjoys experimenting with colour relationships.

Her works are large in scale and the 8m high ceiling (at its highest point) provides breathing space for each piece in our gallery.

The Gallery is open 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday by appointment.
