TM Lighting supplied new LED Classic Picture Lights for the art collection in the state rooms at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
Home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace houses one of the most important and extensive collections in Europe, which includes portraits, furniture, sculpture and tapestries.
Replacing the existing out-dated picture lights with new energy-efficient TM Lighting LED picture lights has created energy and maintenance savings, and ensured the full colour of the paintings is brought to life through the use of the highest quality LED lighting. TM Lighting picture lights deliver the full colour spectrum of light and even distribution. This even distribution ensures that the canvas is viewed as the artist intended and not artificially enhanced in a particular region of a painting.
Specially finished in antique bronze, the TM Classic Picture Lights installed at Blenheim Palace include a true colour LED module (+95 CRI), uniform light projection and a deep hood design for added glare control. The TM Classic Picture Light comfortably lights canvases up to 4 metres in height, using from 1 to 22 watts of power, and offers extra-long lamp life – 50,000hrs (which equates to approximately 15 years typical use).
