We were delighted to illuminate award-winning artworks at Collect Art Fair 2024
The art fair is held at Somerset House, one of London’s most iconic landmarks, and showcases an extraordinary array of artworks and craft pieces from artists across the globe. We were privileged to illuminate “Moon Landing,” a magnificent 5-story handwoven tapestry crafted by Margo Selby. Using British wool intertwined with delicate silk threads, Selby creates vibrant geometric patterns. Central to Selby’s work is the use of colour, making it crucial for each light to capture the full spectrum of hues woven into it. The TM Gallery130 Spotlight provides 98+CRI, ensuring that every shade and tone of the artwork is accurately represented.
We also illuminated the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize by Dominique Zinkpé. This piece features an assemblage of intricately carved wooden statuettes from an old canoe, evoking the Yoruba tradition of Ibéji dolls. Each figurine, painted in soft hues of pink and orange, embodies the soul and individuality of its subjects. Our gallery spotlights illuminate the award-winning artwork with high colour rendition to lift the gentle hues and elaborate carvings.
The VIP Lounge was designed by OCHRE Design Studio and illuminated by TM Lighting. Our gallery spotlights enhanced the ambiance, accentuating key elements in a colour palette of soft pink, orange, and red fabrics. Warmth and harmony define the space, with lighting playing a pivotal role. TM Gallery Spotlights draw the eye to the tapestries on the walls and invite visitors towards the plush fabrics that fill the room. TM Lighting’s 3Cs methodology plays a key role in lighting this space, providing high Colour Rendition to accurately display the colours of each piece, Colour temperature suited to the environment, and Colour consistency throughout the room.
