TM lighting illuminates The Masterpiece London Sculpture Series and Masterpiece [Re]discovery – Avoiding Oblivion 2022.
We were thrilled to be the Official Art Lighting Partner for Master Piece Fair, illuminating three exceptional spaces and many gallery exhibitors at this year’s edition.
The first project that many visitors see is our illumination of the Sculpture Concourse, accenting each piece with Gallery Spotlights to provide texture to the busiest areas of the fair. The new [Re]discovery exhibition by Masterpiece, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun, is also richly presented with our lighting. The VIP Dining room is designed by Zeynep Fadillioglu Design, and elegantly decorated with de Gournay hand painted wallpaper. We added our lights to the room to create a soft wash across the walls while accenting each artwork and the table set.
We utilised myriad techniques across the many galleries we lit, from accenting the furniture on Edward Hurst’s stand to draw out the rich colours in the wood, to using a cooler colour temperature in the 3812 Gallery stand’s blue paintings.
For the stands of Philip Mould Gallery and Piano Nobile Gallery we used a very closely focussed lighting crop to emphasise the paintings.
One of our most intricate projects we have ever undertaken at Masterpiece London was with Carter Marsh & Co, using a special technique to light the long cases and ‘pin spot’ the clock faces.
The stand of John Mitchell Fine Paintings is lit with our newly released MasterLight Classic picture light.
It was also our pleasure to illuminate the fine stands of Whitford Fine Art, Shapero Rare Books, Offer Waterman.
