The Wallace Collection houses an extensive collection of art from 15th to 19th Century. Named after Sir Richard Wallace, who built the extensive collection, along with the Marquesses of Hertford, in the 18th and 19th centuries. The collection consists of French 18th-century paintings, furniture, arms and armour, porcelain and Old Master paintings arranged over 25 different galleries.
Historically, many areas within the museum have been lit with incandescent picture lights. We were asked to assist with updating the picture lights within the museum to make energy savings and improve the display of the paintings. Choosing to use a minimal picture light the SlimLight Pro picture light, the artwork remains first and foremost the focal point in the space, while the picture light disappears into the background.
Manufactured in the UK, the SlimLight Pro is a high powered picture light providing 97CRI from a minimal profile. Its compact 19mm diameter allows the picture light to integrate seamlessly with any setting without compromising on optical performance.
