We are delighted to welcome James Rogers to TM Gallery, in collaboration with the Julian Page Gallery.
Rogers delves into the realm of post-digital figuration, exploring the transformative interplay between his self-built technologies and manual techniques. His approach involves hacking a self-built printing machine to manipulate clay into coils or melt wax for bronze casting. Rogers bridges his sculptural and paper-based works, capturing mechanical pathways in intricate lines. His work investigates connections, dependencies, and their reflections in technological networks, examining how these dynamics transition between digital and physical realms. Rooted in his upbringing near industrial Wolverhampton, Rogers blends familial influences with a fascination for digital landscapes and narrative-driven gaming, shaping his exploration of social networks and human emotions.
