NEW TM GALLERY EXHIBITION: ROYAL SOCIETY OF SCULPTORS
TERRAFORMING FUTURES | SCULPTURE, SUSTAINABILITY, AND THE SHIFTING BALANCE OF NATURE

In collaboration with the Royal Society of Sculptors we are delighted to present the Gilbert Bayes Award Winners 2025 exhibition, opening in January 2026 in our gallery space. The annual award helps recognise and support outstanding early career sculptors.

The guest judge and curator for the Gilbert Bayes Award is Freeny Yianni, curator and owner of the prestigious CLOSE Gallery in Somerset. The ten selected artists are Amanda Cornish, Beverley Duckworth, Bo-Yi Wu, Emmanuel Awuni, Lucy Mulholland, Madeleine Ruggi, Regan Boyce, Salvatore Pioni, Stephen Burke and Yidan Kim.

The theme of this year’s award, Terraforming Futures | Sculpture, sustainability, and the shifting balance of nature explores how sculptors engage with urgent ecological questions, from material reuse and up-cycling to speculative visions of post-climate-change landscapes. Works could range from organic forms that reference renewal and resilience, to industrial remnants reimagined as future ruins. The idea of terraforming reflects both the destructive reshaping of earth through human activity and the possibility of artists reimagining new, more balanced worlds.

“From day one of TM we have been considering the choice of materials we use, our environmental impact but also developing our technology and expertise in preserving the life of an artwork. This exhibition resonates hugely with us”, commented our co-founding director, Harry Triggs.
