Platform Earth x TM Gallery
This exhibition, presented in collaboration with Platform Earth—an environmental arts charity that bridges the gap between the arts and sciences—introduces viewers to a new era of carbon-conscious artwork. By creatively engaging with the complex and existential nature of the climate crisis and championing carbon-neutral materials, Platform Earth unveils new possibilities to lead art into a more sustainable future.
The exhibition will feature a collection of entirely carbon-negative artworks that actively remove carbon from the atmosphere, helping to offset the art world’s carbon emissions. New debut works and sought-after editions from leading artists, including Marina Abramović, Es Devlin, and A.A. Murakami, will be on view until July 25.
The exhibition also includes Petroc Sesti’s Tracing the Void, an interactive artwork inspired by cosmology and the aspiration to recreate the night sky. Sesti transforms NASA space telescope images of the cosmos into perforated canvases, capturing the intricate chaos of the Milky Way.
“I’ve always been in search for a metaphysical sense of the edge of existence; a view of nature beyond day to day human experiences. This brought me to study the heavens. It is here where we feel most alive. This is often experienced in remote places, faced with the vastness of nature; at sea, in a rainforest or open sky’s in deserts. It’s in places like these that one can experience. transcendence, boundless possibility and come into contact with the sublime,” Petroc Sesti.
