This summer, London was home to two of its most notable art and design fairs, Eye of the Collector and The Treasure House Fair, conveniently located just around the corner from each other.
We were thrilled to shine a spotlight on Eye of the Collector, lighting the entirety of works on display at the fair that celebrates 6,000 years of art history in one of London’s most remarkable landmarks, Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks.
Eye of the Collector is a unique fair that offers a curated selection of art and collectible design, beautifully integrated with its architectural surroundings. This year, the event was held at the 1859 Grade II listed Garrison Chapel at Chelsea Barracks. It was a pleasure to illuminate works by renowned artists such as Damien Hirst, Bridget Riley, and Lucian Freud, among many others. Eighteen international galleries participated in this year’s edition.
As the exclusive lighting provider for Eye of the Collector, we are proud to deliver museum-grade lighting solutions for this one-of-a-kind art fair. Our team sculpted the light of our high colour rendition TM Gallery130 Spotlights to accentuate each individual artwork and place each one within the larger context of the venue. Encouraging new dialogues and an exchange of ideas, this unique fair curates an artistic journey of discovery and rediscovery through the ages.
Our versatile Gallery130 Spotlight, with quick interchangeable lenses to vary the beam width, was used throughout the entirety of the fair to create a textured yet consistent lighting experience, allowing us to perfectly balance the light throughout the fair. As art lighting specialists, we strive to not only enhance the visual impact of the art collection but also to create an environment that deepens the connection between a viewer and each artwork.
We were also delighted to illuminate London’s leading art galleries and dealers at the second edition of Treasure House Art Fair. Nestled within the historic Royal Hospital Chelsea, this one-of-a-kind fair invites collectors to immerse themselves in a curated selection of fine art and design from across the globe.
The stands of Piano Nobile, Philip Mould & Co., 3812 Gallery, Shapero Modern, Osborne Samuel and Carter & Marsh were illuminated with our TM Gallery130 Spotlights delivering museum-grade lighting and high colour rendition (98CRI) to showcase each artwork in its truest form and capture the nuances of every hue.
